Dr. Juanita S. Adkins, D.M.D.
A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry (2005), Dr. Adkins is a published author in the Journal of Operative Dentistry and has devoted her career to advanced continuing education in implantology, aesthetics, and full-mouth dentistry.
Over the years, Dr. Adkins has completed a multitude of hours of continuing education — from more than 300 hours of implantology coursework (studying implant restoration; she does not place implants surgically), to aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, 6 Month Smiles, certified Invisalign treatment, and aesthetic training at Eastman Dental in New York — most recently focusing on the prestigious training of the Pankey Institute. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Adkins has owned three dental practices over the years and has owned JSA Dental Care since April 2016, when she purchased the practice from long-standing community dentists Dr. Edgar Gilchrist and Dr. James McMullen. She loves her patients and cares deeply about their wellbeing — and she is proud to welcome her associate, Dr. Sarah I. Dickinson.
Originally from England, Dr. Adkins returns regularly but has called the USA home for over 30 years. Outside the office she enjoys time with her husband, three adult children, and pets — two dogs and two cats — as well as walking and painting. Her charitable work includes cancer and special-needs walks and runs, and support of the arts.
